A home spa is the easiest way to offer yourself some time for you, whether it’s to recharge, rest or even dedicate a time for a creative space to encourage a boost of new ideas.
Below I have offered some options for you to consider with some supportive resources to help you create a home spa! Other than that, dedicate some time and feel into what you would like to include in your home spa!
Create a special space.
This is the most important part; find somewhere you will not be disturbed for an amount of time of your choice. If you have the space, you can create a space that you can come back to again and again, perhaps as a daily ritual to hold the energy of a special space. It could be a window seat, a corner of a room with some cushions, crystals and candles, see what space you have and get creative!
Relaxing Music
Pop on some nice, relaxing music. Music is incredibly emotive. Different musical genres, frequencies and can allow the body to move into different states, and this again is very individual – for example my husband listens to trance music to relax, whereas trance for me makes me want to rock out the glow sticks, haha! I love frequency music, gentle acoustic and classical to feel relaxed.
What feels good for you? Pop that on!
Soul blossom has a few playlists you can check out if you are unsure where to start.
Take a bath.
Run a lovely warm bath with your favourite bubble bath or herbal mix to start your relaxing home spa. Warm water is instantly relaxing, but water also acts as an energetic reset, allowing you to come into the space with fresh energy.
Essential oils in your incense burner or dispenser
Allow a scented candle or essential oil to fill your special space with a beautiful aroma. Some essential oils can provide different incredible benefits when used for their olfactory purposes, such as cleansing, relaxing, energising, healing etc. Find a scent that most resonates with you today! Remember to stay safe and blow out any candles when you are not in the room!
Nature
Nature offers us a chance to connect with something deep within us and all around us. It also allows us to ground, restore and revitalise. If you have a garden or green space nearby, allow yourself some time to spend time in nature, perhaps using your senses to engage and interact with the natural environment. If you have any plants in your home, tending to them or interacting with the leaves or soil is an ideal way to receive the benefits too!
Self-Massage
Massage is an incredible way to stimulate the blood flow and ease tensions in the body. There are so many more benefits to regular massage including increased vitality and health improvements. Self-massage is an accessible way to achieve these benefits without leaving your home! If you have any organic sesame oil or coconut oil, these are ideal self-massage oils, alternatively use whatever massage oil you have.
Technique: Generally, use your intuition to massage your body, but for a simple technique you can use long strokes away from the body on the limbs, for example, followed gently by encouraging the blood back to the heart. Small circles around any joints such as the knees and elbows. You can massage between 5 minutes to 30 minutes to allow the benefits to sink in , whatever time you can dedicate.
Avoid any open wounds, bruising or broken bones.
If you have any medical conditions, it is best to check with your medical practitioner before massaging to check suitability.
Meditation
Allowing yourself some quiet time and internal focus is a beautiful way to come into the present moment, a time just for you. The benefits of regular meditation, a great tool to use in this way, are incredible including increased resilience, abundance, vitality, and improved health.

Gentle yoga sequence
Movement can offer a shift in energy, removal of any stagnant energy and encourage benefits going into your day including improved focus, clarity, and happiness.
For some inspiration Yoga with Adrienne online is brilliant, with short sequences to numerous day challenges for all requirements.
Journal and affirmations
Offer yourself a chance to reflect during your home spa time, writing in a journal can be super helpful to reflect and create goals whatever your focus may be. Affirmations are a great way to help set your goals into motion and help with any mindset shifts.
Soul Blossom has a free journal and affirmation booklet which you can use.
Juice
Juices are a great boost for the body for a lot of people, they can help support the organs of the body and provide a nutrient boost. Having a juice around lunchtime perhaps even as a meal replacement, when the digestion is at its strongest can be beneficial.
Here is an example of a juice to support the liver:
2 handfuls of kale
1 medium beetroot
1 large handful parsley
2 celery sticks
1 lemon (peeled but keep the pith)
Juice all the ingredients and enjoy!
Soups might also be preferable for some given the warmth and nourishing nature, so feel into what might resonate with you at this time.
Water and lemon
Prepare a jug of fresh (preferably filtered) water with a slice of lemon or cucumber. It is important to remain hydrated during the day and especially on a home spa day when you are likely removing stagnant energy from within and around your body.
So, whether you choose one, some or all the above examples to create your home spa, I hope you receive what you require during this time you have set aside for you!
Best wishes, and enjoy!
