What’s in a name that which we call Soul Blossom…

I love a play on words (Shakespeare’s to be exact), read on to discover why we are called Soul Blossom! 

My name is Cat and I am the founder of Soul Blossom. The name Soul Blossom resonates with me in so many ways! A few years ago my husband and I travelled to the island of Tenerife for some winter sun early on in my pregnancy with my daughter. We hadn’t formally found out whether she was a boy or girl, but I intuitively knew the baby was a girl.  Whilst in Tenerife, we hiked through the black lava fields in the island’s countryside. We were lucky to be there at the same time as the pink blossom blooms, which provided such a beautiful, delicate frontage to the dramatic black lava fields. Such a special moment and from which the name Blossom arose! We called her Blossom during the pregnancy, and although we decided not to call my daughter Blossom when she was born, the name will always hold a special space in my heart. It only seems fitting to include it in the business name and call my signature baby massage and yoga classes “Blossom Tots”. The word blossom can invoke many a beautiful foliage visual, and so many other things come to mind…. growth, expansion, the knowing and understanding oneself, coming into full potential and the beauty that arises from this awareness.

Blossom is also a seasonal flower, and this can be a metaphor for the seasons or stages we go through in life, the ebb and flow of our growth and vitality, the hibernations and the rediscovering and celebrations. 

I created Soul Blossom to bring together the beautiful healing modalities I have experienced first-hand that have profoundly changed my life. I am passionate to share these with you so that you too can re-find your balance and experience the extensive benefits that nourish your body, mind and soul.
